About

Welcome to PLU’s Sustainability Office blog!

Our overall goals are to take action in hopes of becoming carbon neutral and a zero-waste producer by 2020, but also to build a visibly sustainable setting by incorporating the ideas of sustainability within the culture here on the PLU campus.

This blog page creates an open communication between S.O. employees, sustainability fellows, ASPLU officers, PLU faculty and staff, and the student body to discuss these goals and other sustainable happenings around campus. It provides personal stories, campus-wide updates (such as the unPLUgged results!), and notifications from clubs such as GREAN.

The Sustainability Office is located in Facilities, across the parking lot from Morken. If you ever get curious, come and visit PLU’s hub of sustainability and recycling – or if it’s been a long and tiresome day, simple post a comment!

  1. I thought that this was fitting being a small school from the burbs who just matched up with HUGE schools with tons of resources when it comes to our sustainability efforts!

  2. 66% of our energy from electricity is wasted! That is outrageous. Get “unPLUg”ing. How much of a difference can you make?
