Habitat Restoration Project funded

You may be pleased to learn that, in today’s mail, we received notice of two grants for the Urban Habitat Restoration Project for total support in the amount of $14,500.
A check arrived from Greater Tacoma Community Foundation for $7,500 for the project.  A letter informed us of the  $7,000 award from the Pierce Conservation District (on a re-imbursement basis).  This is full funding for these two grants.
Kudos to Reed Ojala-Barbour, the student who spearheaded the project and who worked with me on the grant proposals.  Thanks also to the many others who contributed their time to helping form these proposals.
A great start to a Monday!
